Gold potassium cyanide is an important gold source used in “electrolytic gold plating”. The primary application of GPC is in the electro-plating of metals. Gold potassium cyanide ﬁnds its major applications in gold plating catering to watch plating, electroforming, barrel plating, terminal, ﬂexible printed circuits & printed circuit boards, electroplating metals other than electronics industry, and hanging plating. In addition, Gold potassium cyanide is also used in the decorative plating of jewellery. Smaller applications include jewellery for chemical gilding and buffering.
